WHAT WE DO

Touch.edu is dedicated to eradicating the stigma associated with sexual violence. We hope to uplift survivors, make their voices heard, and hopefully in turn decrease the prevalence of this crime when we ensure more people are aware about this issue nad how to handle it.

OUR PROGRAMS & PROJECTS

Currently, with a relatively small team, we are mostly focusing our efforts on online resources. We have hosted sessions in the founders' school, office, and a street play in two of the most buzzing locations in Mumbai. Online, our Instagram is steadily growing, and our new Podcast is approaching it's beginning. We release articles bi-monthly, addressing important issues that many - even us, at first - are not aware of. We hope to expand these projects, reach a wider audience, and have physical events in various locations globally as our team expands across the world.

School/Office sessions

This organisation began as a small school project, where we conducted educational sessions with groups of different ages on the topic of sexual violence. To reach an adult audience, we also conducted sessions with groups of adults in one of our parent's office. This lead to meaningful, enlightening discussions that opened not just the attendees' eyes but ours too.

Street play

In our most recent initiative, we gathered a large group of students to put on a show on the streets of Mumbai. With dance, music, and a play, we captured the attention of on lookers, spreading our message and gaining publicity. The two-day events help us reach a wider audience, and are our first step in getting out on the streets and taking action.

Instagram

Our Instagram is one of the main parts of our organisation. Through this we aim to reach a global audience, with one of the most widely used social media platforms. We post not just about our activity but also about the various problems that exist in our society pertaining to sexual violence. Follow us at @touch.edu.sa!

Articles

Our bi-monthly blog-style articles attack a different stereotype each time, breaking them down piece by piece to understand just how accurate these alarmingly common viewpoints are. These articles are our first step in building awareness, and ending the most harmful taboos that exist.

Podcast

Our spotify podcast is another way of reaching a wider audience - for people who'd rather listen than read, for people who want to help a survivor, for survivors themselves, or any other interested party looking simply to educate themselves, this podcast is perfect for them. We host discussions, tackling the most controversial stigmas attacked to sexual violence, in hopes that we can help people see how current common practices are harmful.

Resources

Our primary mission is to end the stigma behind the discussion of sexual violence, in hopes that destigmatization will help survivors heal, and in the future reduce the prevalence of sexual crime. Our resources page helps survivors look for help, and also helps their loved ones understand how to support a survivor.
